Share
Jordan Kent is the son of Clark and Lois who manifests the powers in Superman & Lois, the twin nobody was waiting for. He is not Jon Kent from the comics. In this article you get the actor, what the 23 February 2021 pilot shows, why the parents pick the wrong twin, and how to separate him from Jonathan. By the end you will know which page to open depending on whether you come from the CW or from the Rebirth pages.

Two sons, only one visible inheritance
The series gives Clark and Lois twins, Jordan and Jonathan, at the moment Martha dies and the family returns to Smallville. In the Rebirth comics, Jon Kent is an only son, later Superboy. Two architectures. Google mixes the two names: that is the whole subject of this page.
Jordan has the anxiety, the games, the distance. Jonathan has football. The parents bet on the athlete. The pilot contradicts them.
The return to Smallville is not a high-school choice. Martha dies, the house empties, Lois and Clark bring the boys back to where the secret began. Jordan arrives already on edge. The powers do not create the tension: they make it dangerous.
23 February 2021
In the barn, metal tubes fall. Jonathan steps in. Both come out of it. Later, at the bonfire, Jordan kisses Sarah Cushing; the fight starts; a burst of heat vision lights the blaze. CBR and ComicBook.com flag it that same night: it is Jordan, not Jonathan, who inherits. Clark takes him aside, and promises to be there — a pilot line, not a four-year program to quote as a contract.
The powers do not make him a second miniature Kal-El. They turn a teen already on edge into a teen who can burn a party down. The secret drops the same night, in the barn, when the boys find the ship.
Alex Garfin
Alexander Garfin holds Jordan across all four seasons (2021-2024). Jonathan changes actor in season 3 (Michael Bishop after Jordan Elsass). Jordan himself does not change. We invent no departure. In the TCA interviews, Garfin talks about anxiety and the extra pressure the powers add. That is an actor's reading, not a medical box in the script to turn into a diagnosis.
Jordan's face does not change on the poster. Jonathan's does. That is why searches for « who plays the son » split: Garfin on one side, Elsass then Bishop on the other. This page holds the first. The recast of the second is not a departure of Jordan.
Jordan is not Jon Kent
Jon Kent is born in the comics under Tomasi and Gleason, grows up, becomes Superboy, sometimes the Man of Steel of a future. He has no twin named Jordan. The CW Jordan does not have, in the series sources, that paper Superboy career. Mixing the two is stacking two searches on top of each other.
Kon-El is yet a third son, a clone. Three files, three entries.
The comics Jon grows up, leaves, comes back, sometimes wears the full costume. Jordan, on the CW, stays a Smallville teenager for four seasons. He does not have, in the series sources, that paper Superboy career, nor that Man of Steel future. We do not stick the Tomasi arcs on him. We do not stick the first name Jordan on the Rebirth pages either.
If you land here after reading the Jon page, you already have the paper version. This URL holds the screen. The two sons share only the parents, and even then: one has a twin, the other does not. Two searches, two URLs, one risk: fusing them.
Four seasons, without inventing a fifth
The series has four seasons and ends in 2024. Tal-Rho, in season 1, takes an interest in Jordan precisely because the powers are there: Zeta-Rho has to pass through this body. We say it; we do not make it the recap of the 53 episodes. Krypto is not the subject of this page.
We do not recap here every heat vision, every flight, every crisis of season 3 or 4. The contract of the page is the inheritance visible from the pilot, and the split from comics Jon. The rest belongs to the recap of the series.
Jordan Kent, from the pilot to the end of the series
Three common myths
- Jordan Kent is Jon Kent. No. Jon is the only son of the Rebirth comics. Jordan is the CW twin who manifests the powers.
- Jonathan inherits the powers from the pilot. No. The parents believe it. The bonfire shows Jordan. Jonathan changes actor later; that is not the same file.
- Alex Garfin was recast. No. Garfin stays. It is Jonathan who changes performer in season 3.
