The Kent farm appears in January 1945
DC Database dates the Kent Farm to More Fun Comics #101, January 1945: the first Superboy story, Siegel and Shuster. The town is not yet named Smallville. The name arrives in Superboy #2, May 1949. The state stays vague for a long time. The radio serial The Adventures of Superman, arc “The Secret Rocket” (September 29 – October 30, 1947), places Eben Kent's farm in Iowa. A 1977 fanzine says Maryland. A 1981 DC map puts it on the East Coast, near Gotham.
The 1978 film writes “EXT. KANSAS WHEAT FIELD”. Elliot S! Maggin follows in the novel Last Son of Krypton. John Byrne, in The Man of Steel (1986), anchors Smallville in Kansas in post-Crisis continuity. The farm's Kansas is therefore not original: it comes from the movies, then from the 1986 comics.

The field where Kal-El's capsule crashes
The capsule lands in the Kents' field, or right beside it, depending on the stories. DC Database and the Smallville wiki do not say exactly the same thing for every continuity: we stay flexible. The ship has its page. Kal-El too. Here we keep the crater, the wheat, the evening. Not the parents: Jonathan and Martha Kent are already told elsewhere.
In Superman 1978, the field is Kansas. Teenage Clark then leaves the farm, after Jonathan's death. In Man of Steel, the ship is buried. On Smallville, it ends in the cellar, then explodes. Three versions, one place: a field that stops a vessel.
House, barn, silo: what the place holds
Depending on the version, you find a house, a barn, sometimes a loft (Clark's in the series), a grain silo, a mill. On Smallville, the silo is concrete and steel. The diegetic address is Hickory Lane, Smallville, Kansas 66605: “oldest farm in Lowell County”, canon of the series only. DC Database also cites 321 Maple Street: we do not make that the central fact, for lack of confirmation everywhere.
In the Silver Age, the Kents often sell the farm when Clark enters school, and keep a general store in town. Superboy still uses it as a base, with a secret tunnel. Post-Crisis, Byrne has them keep the farm into adulthood. Two policies of the place, two eras. Clark Kent has his identity page: here we stay with the buildings.
The Smallville cellar, destroyed in May 2003
In Smallville, Hiram Kent builds a storm cellar in the 1950 years. The ship rests there. In May 2003, it explodes: the cellar is destroyed. This is not the Fortress of Solitude. The Fortress, in this series, is in the Arctic. Under the barn there is a ship, then nothing.
The shoot is not in Kansas. The real house is at 843 248th Street, Langley, British Columbia. The diegesis says Kansas. Both facts hold: Hickory Lane on screen, Langley off-screen. Virgil Swann explains the ship's symbols, not the silo's plan. Pete Ross knows the secret: we do not tell it.
Jonathan's grave, at the edge of the farm
The grave is a feature of the place, not a biography. In the Silver Age, Clark returns every year to the graves of Jonathan and Martha (DC Database). On Smallville, Jonathan is buried; the cemetery borders the farm. John Schneider has his actor page. In Man of Steel, Jonathan dies in the tornado; the grave is in the local cemetery. Kevin Costner and Diane Lane have theirs.
We do not write how they die beyond locating the stone. The field stays. The house stays. The stone marks an edge of the place, not the center of the parents' article.
Five versions of the same place, kept apart
Pre-Crisis Superboy: farm, then often a sale, a store in town, Smallville without a state then Maryland / East. 1978 film: Kansas, wheat field, Clark leaving. Byrne 1986: Kansas, farm kept. Smallville TV: Hickory Lane, loft, cellar, silo, Langley. DCEU: Kansas again, tornado, buried ship. Superman & Lois: the farm becomes home again for adult Clark and his sons — one sentence, not the series.
The farm is not Smallville the town (a planned subject of its own). It is not the series. It is not Lana Lang. The season guide tells the years. Here we tell a field and its buildings.
Iowa 1947, Kansas 1978: the state is not stable
The 1947 radio says Iowa. The 1977 fanzine says Maryland. The 1981 map says East. The 1978 film says Kansas, and Byrne follows. Writing “the Kansas farm” without a date is pasting 1978 onto 1945. We date. We separate. The place is the same role — field, house, child — not the same state.
ZIP code 66605 and Lowell County belong to the series only. Reusing them for Siegel is an anachronism. Reusing them for Donner, too. Each version has its own land record.
In the shop: a Kansas T-shirt, not a barn model
No product reproduces Hickory Lane or the concrete silo. The closest items carry Smallville or a Kansas look: we are on the side of the place on screen, not of a guided tour. We are not selling you the cellar, nor the gravestone, nor the 1978 field crater.
If you want the people, Jonathan and Martha have their article. If you want the ship or the Fortress, their pages already exist. The Kent farm stops at the field, the walls, the cellar destroyed in May 2003, and the grave as a simple edge of the place.

Conclusion
The Kent farm is a field, a house, a barn, sometimes a silo, sometimes a cellar. The capsule lands there. Clark grows up there, except when the Silver Age moves him into town. Kansas arrives in 1978. The cellar blows in 2003. The Fortress is not underneath.
If you want Jonathan and Martha, their page. If you want the ship or Smallville the series, theirs. Here we stop at the place.
